Otokar, a Koç group subsidiary listed on Borsa Istanbul, has been a leader in the Turkish bus market since 1963, offering customised solutions that are developed by its R&D centre. Operating from a 552-000-square-metre-production facility in Sakarya, the company offers a variety of buses ranging from 6 to 21 metres in length. Suited for various types of travel (city, intercity, school, tourist transport), they are exported to more than 75 countries. In 2011, Otokar created Otokar Europe S.A.S. in Roissy-en-France to better address the demand in Europe. Today, Otokar Europe S.A.S. has subsidiaries in Romania, Italy and Germany and also operates in Sweden to serve the Scandinavian market.
