Computer-aided engineering
At Otokar, computer-aided engineering is divided into five different sections: Structural Analysis, Noise-Vibration, Vehicle Dynamics, Crash Safety and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
1 – Structural Analysis studies include analysis of linear or non-linear strain and deformation at system/subsystem level of vehicles.
2 – Noise-Vibration studies are conducted to improve the structural vibrations that are uncomfortable for passengers and drivers and to solve acoustic problems inside the vehicle.
3 – Vehicle dynamic studies can show if the desired performance criteria (e.g. acceleration, braking, driving uphill or over vertical barriers) are met at the prototype stage.
4 – With crash- test safety studies, rollover and frontal impact simulations are performed to assess passenger and driver safety.
5 – Our computational fluid dynamics experts perform fluid and heat analysis in a number of different areas, from aerodynamic behaviour of vehicles to performance of engine cooling systems.
